Deadline to RSVP for Annual George Mason Banquet Extended
The Virginia Pro Chapter urgently requests the support of its members and friends for the 44th Annual George Mason Banquet - June 7 at the Richmond Times-Dispatch Hanover Production facility.

The deadline for reservations is being extended until Friday, June 1.

As of today, the original deadline, only 28 people have reserved or purchased tickets, including honored guests.

A number of our members cannot attend that evening and have generously sent in George Mason Club dues or donated tickets for use by local student members of SPJ and non-member journalism students.

If you can attend and have not already RSVP’d, please join us June 7 as we honor Lou Emerson, editor of the Culpeper Citizen, present scholarships to two outstanding Virginia college journalists, and offer special recognition to Amie Steele and the staff of Virginia Tech’s The Collegiate Times for exemplary coverage of the campus shootings.

If you have already made reservations or RSVP’d, thank you!
