Membership in student organizations not only gets you involved in campus activities, but looks great on your resume. The Society of Professional Journalists is not just for journalism and communication majors. We have members with backgrounds in broadcasting, English, business, advertising and the arts.

Continuing Professional Education

When you read Quill Magazine, the official magazine of the Society of Professional Journalists, you have your hands on some of America’s finest journalism. For more than 80 years, Quill Magazine has been a respected resource for journalists, industry leaders, students and educators on issues pertinent to journalism.

Professional development has been a long time important goal of the society. SPJ programs are developed for this purpose, including the SPJ National Convention, specialized workshops, regional conferences and local chapter meetings and activities.
