November, Nov. 16 Topics in Journalism: Diversity in the Media SPJ will host a discussion with leading minority editors and news directors. Concerns will address their perceived difficulties and how they’ve overcome them and how to be more aware of diversity in reporting one’s beat.

November, Date TBA Blogging: What is it and where’s it headed? SPJ will host a panel of bloggers including Jessica McBride, Dan Polley and Marc Tasman. These three experts will explain what blogging is and discuss citizen journalism through blogging, how to decipher credible bloggers and non-credible bloggers and how to start your own blog.
December, Date TBA Social Event at the Newsroom Pub Thanks to the partnership with the Milwaukee Press Club, SPJ will host a year-end networking and social event. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
