Mission.: to connect students with professionals and develop industry leaders through exposure, skill sharing and networking.

The Society of Professional Journalists is the leading and most highly respected organization in the field. Our chapter serves the journalism students of the University of South Florida.

SPJ at USF is a division of the Mid-Florida Pro Chapter and is also a member of Region 3, which is made up of: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.

Joining the USF chapter of SPJ is a great way to make contacts, share ideas and explore future possibilities in the field of journalism.

Membership is open to all students at USF, regardless of major, and students may attend SPJ meetings without being a paid member of the chapter.

If you intend to pursue a career in journalism, SPJ@USF strongly recommends that you utilize the benefits of applying for a student membership.
