The Minnesota Pro Chapter is taking applications for a $1,000 scholarship to be used toward education at a post-secondary institution. Applications:

--must be pursuing a career in journalism.
--must either be enrolled in a post-secondary institution in Minnesota or be a Minnesota high school graduate enrolled in a post-secondary institution outside of Minnesota.

Preference will be given to Society of Professional Journalists members.

Application deadline is Feb. 13. 2004.

The scholarship will be awarded at the chapter's Page One Awards Dinner in late May.
