Christine Yee, a senior studying journalism and long-time member of SPJ at San Francisco State, was accepted into the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund Summer Editing Internship Program for summer 2003. Yee, who also applied last year, will be spending two weeks at San Jose State for training before starting her editing internship at the Contra Costa Times.

As an editing intern, Yee will be writing headlines, editing copy, and designing pages at the Times located in Walnut Creek, CA.

In 2001, Yee spent six weeks of her summer vacation writing copy as a reporter for a summer editing program at the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education in Oakland, CA. She currently works as a NewsWatch researcher for the Center for Integration and Improvement of Journalism.
