ACES has kept its registration rates unchanged for the past three years and we're planning new and exciting additions to keep participants on the cutting edge of a changing and challenging industry. BarCamp NewsInnovation Philadelphia 2010 Set April 24
Where: Temple University, Annenberg Building
When: April 24th. 10am - 4pm. After party details TBD.
Why: To innovate the way we sustainably report news.
How much: BarCamp NewsInnovation Philadelphia 2010 is FREE and will be hosted at Annenberg Hall on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and the presentations will start at 10 a.m. After an hour break for lunch at 1 p.m., the last presentations will start at 3 p.m. Registration is available online.
Young Journalists Summer Camp
Early registration is now available for the 2010 sessions of WHYY's award-winning Young Journalists Summer Camp! This award-winning, hands on camp will give students the opportunity to use WHYY production equipment to develop and produce news stories based on their interests, while under the tutelage of experienced, award-winning journalists. This camp is a great opportunity for students in grades 9 - 12 who are interested in:
- Print, Broadcast or Online Journalism
- Audio/Video production
- Photo Journalism
- Blogging
- Careers/Degrees in English
Students may register for one of two-week sessions (weekdays June 21 through July 2 or weekday August 16 through August 27). Each session can accomodate 32 students, and will reach capacity quickly. A limited number of scholarship opportunities, as well as flex payment plans are available.
