The 2003 18th Annual James Madison Freedom of Information Awards Dinner

This important event honors individuals and organizations that have promoted and defended free speech and access to information. This year we will present 13 awards. Press Release

Wartime Journalism - A debate

On Saturday, April 26, the SPJ Northern California chapter will sponsor a workshop to debate highly charged issues of wartime ethics for journalists.Peter Sussman, former chapter president and co-author of "Committing Journalism," will review many of the ethical disputes that have arisen sincethe September 11 attacks. He will provoke audience members to address thorny and emotional issues of journalistic ethics. Join us for a stimulating,irritating or passionate discussion. Your call. Ft.
