Frank Gorrie of the Associated Press (foreground at left), is listed as the first president of the Kansas City Press Club. He was named president in1947. A framed document titled “House Rules” shows the Kansas City Press Club had a home in 1979. A room at the Hotel President, 14th and Baltimore, Kansas City, Mo., served as Press Club headquarters.
