A framed document titled “House Rules” shows the Kansas City Press Club had a home in 1979. A room at the Hotel President, 14th and Baltimore, Kansas City, Mo., served as Press Club headquarters.

Recent Awards

The Kansas City Press Club received two awards in 2002-03 at the national Society of Professional Journalists conference. The Circle of Excellence Award for small chapters was presented to the Kansas City Press Club in recognition of outstanding contributions and excellence in the area of diversity. The Press Club also received the Outstanding Small Professional Chapter Award for Region VII.
