Experience:
I spent 16 years as a journalist. I moved to Colorado from Southern California, where I was a police reporter for the Los Angeles Times. While at the Times, I was on a team of reporters whose stories on the massive 2003 wildfires earned a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news. In addition to my journalism career, I have a master's degree in mass communication from California State University Northridge and have taught college classes for several years, primarily in the areas of diversity, women and the history of mass media.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, fishing and traveling.
